Marea Baja Designs

Marea Baja Designs is located in San Clemente, CA and is inspired by everything about the sea. I literally take 'long walks on the beach' on a daily basis to curate my shop.

All pieces are made from reclaimed wood - primarily old fencing, but also other wood cast-offs. My artwork is therefore naturally weathered and may have holes or other rustic details, but have been cleaned up and sanded before they make it to your home.

All sea glass is authentic and was found by me on the beach. None of my sea glass has ever been machine-tumbled. 

Payment

All California orders will be charged sales tax.

Marea Baja accepts credit card and ApplePay payments through Stripe third-party payment processing.

Shipping

Pieces marked Made to Order may take up to 4 weeks to create and ship.

Ready to ship orders will be shipped as soon as possible - generally within 1-3 business days, although this is not guaranteed (unless otherwise noted in the listing).

All items will be packed in securely padded boxes or padded mailers - I try to be as earth friendly as possible, so much of my packaging is recycled boxes and packing materials. Your order is always packed with care to ensure a safe delivery.

Buyer pays all shipping costs, including return shipping for exchanges when applicable. I ship via USPS Priority Mail so standard shipping fees include tracking/delivery confirmation and insurance up to $50. If you want to add additional  services, please contact me before making your payment and I will adjust the shipping charges accordingly.

Item(s) will be shipped via USPS within the stated number of days of cleared payment. Your order will be sent to the address you have provided.  Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to make a change to the mailing address and I will try to work with you to the best of my ability.  That being said, I will not be responsible for items shipped to an incorrect/incomplete address.

I cannot ensure how quickly international orders will arrive as they must go through customs. Please message me about priority international mail if you would like expedited shipping options.

Depending on the customs regulations for your country, international orders may incur customs fees upon arrival. I have no control over these and do not have any additional information regarding these.

PLEASE NOTE: My pieces are fragile. I do my best to package them safely, but it is possible a piece may be damaged en route to you. Please contact me right away if damage does occur so I can help to resolve the issue for you. Of course, I am not responsible in any way for lost/stolen packages. However, if a problem does occur with the shipment of your package, I will be happy to work with you to try to remedy the problem.

Refunds and Exchanges

I want you to be happy with your purchase. If there is a problem, please let me know as soon as possible and I will work with you to remedy the situation, however:

* All Marea Baja sales are Final Sales. *

No returns. 

Exchanges or store credit MAY be allowed in special cases only at my discretion. In this case, buyer pays all shipping fees.

* Cancellations only prior to shipping. *

If there are any issues once received, please make sure to message me within 7 days of receipt of your piece

*Color looks different on all monitors.*

No returns or exchanges based on color differences.

In the case of an exchange or store credit offer:

Once an exchange has been approved by me, the piece must be post marked and mailed within three days of that conversation. I recommend using priority shipping as the piece must be back to me within 10 business days. Once the piece is back to me and I have inspected it, I will ship the exchange piece to you within 1-3 business days.

Buyer pays all shipping costs to return the item and to have a new item shipped if they would like an exchange.

Please note, There are NO refunds for custom made to order items.

Store Credit:

Please message me before purchasing the item you would like with your store credit. I will adjust the price of the item accordingly and note this in the listing.

Additional info

I have made all attempts to portray my items as accurately as possible.

Each Marea Baja Design is unique, so items that indicate they are made-to-order are an example of what you will receive and will not be identical to the item pictured.

Please note that my pieces are all completely handmade and as such, there are no 'perfect pieces'.

Variations will occur from piece to piece and may include (but are not limited to):

Drips on the edges of the piece

Variations in thickness of the seal (some rough spots or patches) on the front or bumps in the seal on the front of the piece

Drips on the back of the piece

Lines in the seal

Flaws in sea glass pieces - for example, smudges, bonfire glass, bumps

If you have any concerns about any items, please contact me BEFORE you buy. I'll be happy to provide a more detailed description or photograph of the item before I ship it to you.
